This six-piece progressive rock band from Melbourne is keen to use Emergenza as a platform for expressing themselves musically and for connecting to new fans. They say they’re not interested in taking anything out of their shows, but instead, giving: putting on a new, thought-provoking experience for their public, which will hopefully inspire them to want to hear more. FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T MAKE IT OUT TO YOUR ROUND ONE GIG, CAN YOU GIVE US A BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO THE BAND?
We are a progressive rock band aiming to combine theatrics and technicality to our performance. We aim to immerse the audience in a show, not just play a few songs...

WHAT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE FIRST ROUND FOR YOU?
The highlight in the last round was playing in front of such a large audience! Playing for people that haven't heard our sound always inspires us to play our very best and makes us eager for their feedback.

OUT OF ALL THE SONGS YOU PLAYED, WHICH ONE GOT THE BIGGEST REACTION OUT OF THE CROWD AND WHY DO YOU THINK THAT IS?
“Get It Together” often gets a large response even if people haven't heard it before. It has such a full and empowering sound that often catches people off guard and follows with Estelle and Steph in beautiful harmonies.

SO HOW DOES IT FEEL BEING ONE STEP CLOSER TO THE EMERGENZA FINALS?
Poorer.

WHAT WOULD YOU SAY HAS BEEN ONE OF YOUR BIGGEST OBSTACLES SO FAR?
Our biggest obstacle is usually stage space believe it or not. Because we are a six-piece band with a lot of large instruments, we are often very pressed for space on stage. This makes stage presence a bit awkward sometimes.

WHAT DO YOU HOPE TO TAKE AWAY FROM YOUR UPCOMING CONCERT AT THE ESPY?
We don't want to take anything... we want to GIVE people something new and something unique. Give them something to make them think about and the urge to want to hear us again.

HOW ARE YOU PLANNING TO PROMOTE FOR YOUR UPCOMING GIG?
We are promoting mostly by word of mouth and trying to reach out to our fans so they come and see the gig.

WITH OTHER BATTLE OF THE BANDS COMPETITIONS AROUND, WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE EMERGENZA?
We are just here for the ride. We live for the present and enjoy expressing our sounds to those who haven't heard it yet. Emergenza allows us to do this.
