Previous incarnations of this Melbourne alternative rock band are Stone For A Slingshot and Welcome Home Brian, but a couple years down the road and a few line-up changes under their belts they are now known as OVERSHINE. They knew they settled on the right basic line-up when, as they say, it just felt right and the song writing suddenly got easier. Right now OVERSHINE is a power trio, with bass, drums, and guitar, although they toy around with the idea of inviting a keyboardist and a cello player to the mix. Self-described as energetic alternative rock, and inspired by bands like Silverchair and Pearl Jam, it’s not hard to imagine that these guys have a powerful energy onstage.

They’ve already played at The Barleycorn Hotel, The Blue Tile Lounge, and One Six One and will now debut their latest line-up for the Emergenza battle at the Epsy. Don’t miss your chance to see this up-and-coming alternative rock band at the Epsy on the 22nd.
