JASON LIVES isn’t just any newcomer band. They’ve been a fundamental part of the Melbourne punk scene since 1996, when the band first formed as The Voorhees. Since then they’ve experimented with a few line-up changes and finally settled on the most recent reincarnation midway last year. Their brand of speed power punk betrays the fact that they grew up listening to bands like NOFX and Bad Religion, whereas the lyrics and entertaining sampling between tracks reveal their private obsession with sci-fi and horror sagas. They’ve already got 3 EPs out, which you can easily purchase online or stream off their Reverb or Facebook pages.

 Each one is jammed with original songs, which will fit right into your classic punk rock collection. When they’re not playing music or watching horror films they’re most likely filming shameless self-promotional videos or off protecting endangered animals from mal-treatment.
