This four-piece alternative metal band from Sydney has a presence on Triple J Unearthed, Reverbnation, YouTube, Twitter, and of course, the ubiquitous Facebook. Of the two songs that can be streamed on their Facebook band page, “Attack Myself” and “Nobody”, “Nobody is the more compelling. It’s super heavy hitting, with deep, bassy vocals, and an aggressive post-metal feel to the rhythm section. An additional song, “The Break”, can be streamed on Triple J Unearthed. This one has a more California hardcore feel to it, with a more ‘light hearted’ approach to vocals. On this track, the influences of bands like Fugazi can be heard, but, for the most part, they take their inspiration from darker sources, like the Deftones, Godsmack, System of a Down, Parkway Drive, and Sevendust.
They only formed in September 2012, but they’ve already released their first EP, A Well Dressed Pig, which was originally recorded at the Vienna People studio. Their first full-length album ‘Circus of War’ is in the works. So, while waiting desperately for the debut album to hit, don’t miss your chance to see them play live. If you want your head to spin with explosive metal riffs, you have to come down to the Lair to see them live on the 29th of August. These guys are sure to rock hard.
