...we know it’s not a proper festival without a bit of mud but now we’ll start the day with sun and we are not complaining. The first band was supposed to play yesterday but they missed the flight because they come all the way from Siberia.....yes, Siberia. That is far. The first impact we get from this russian band is three guys on acid! Colourful jackets and rock and roll sounds. The name, ROCCO is an “appreciation” to the lord of Porn, Rocco Siffredi. As they casually remind the crowd about their love for everything Rocco, they have songs with strange titles such as “what are you going to do when i’m finished on your face”.....there’s no pun intended there. it’s pure filthy rock. We dubbed it “porn rock”. Officially they are the inventors of a new brand of music genre: “Porn Rock”. They cruise through their set with ease and passion. Capable musician but more showman than anything. This a truly entertaining set with a greatly under-appreciated subject in rock and roll. “Spasibo” Russia for kicking it off!
