Tall Hearts create some good musical vibes

Brining together a melange of styles, these talented musicians have just the right amount of ‘unique’ to work and wow.

In a time when many bands and musicians seem like carbon copies of other already ‘popular’ or ‘well known’ acts, Tall Hearts bring us music that is different, and for that reason, memorable. The three musicians came together just recently to form this band whose musical style they describe using so many adjectives I can’t quote them all. When so many genres come together in one act, it can go one of two ways – fortunately for these guys, in their case this union of styles and musical elements works very well and will no doubt serve to cement them a spot on Sydney’s local music scene.

Their musical efforts were recently recognized by a local radio station which played their single She Walked Back Through My Blues’. The tune, as implied by the title is very much in the blues category. With the requisite bass notes that are a prominent piece in the song, the piece is ‘groovy’ while featuring elements of rock and funk. The collaboration between the bass and the drum is stellar and accompanied by the singer’s voice which easily varies in pitch and tone, this makes for a song that will easily appeal to audiences and stick with them long after it’s done.

Tall Hearts are currently wrapping up the recording of their debut album, which they hope to launch in the next few weeks. In fact, they are planning on have this launch coincide with another momentous occasion in their musical career – their performance in the Emergenza International Music Festival which will be taking place on the 7th of July. They will appear along with six other bands on the stage of the Lair @ Metro for a chance to advance to the event’s semi-final round.
