ROCCO – a powerful electro/pop duo with sounds from another era.

Fun upbeat music played by two guys who appear to be equally fun, upbeat and easygoing – an attitude which their music seems to convey.

Electronic music has been around for many years and has icons in every decade. It seems that ROCCO could become one of those icons. The duo has been writing and recording music for several years now and they have picked up momentum as far as promoting and establishing this musical project. They offer new twists on this fairly classic genre and bring different elements and dimensions to it both just as a recorded piece and during a live performance.

There are elements of the 80s version of this genre in the singers voice and in the way the vocal is being presented overall. Some of the vocal effects as well as the chorus are particularly reminiscent of that time. The song Thunder is super easy to listen to and sure to be a crowd pleaser - the type of piece you are likely to walk away singing after hearing it a once or twice, and especially if you were to hear and see it live. While the song was only recently recorded, it seems to have gathered are respectable following and is likely to be a hit during the bands’ live performances.

They have no shortage of live performances over the next few weeks, as they take to the stages of various popular Sydney venues in an effort to ensure as many fans (and potentially fans) as possible see them playing live. They will be playing on the 7th of July at the Lair @ Metro, for the eliminatory round of the Emergenza Festival – a performance which starts small, but has the potentially to take the band on to bigger and better things, seeing as how Australia’s winner of this international band competition will be flown to Germany for the event’s international final.
