The 1st Step Goes on at the X&Y in Brisbane June 30th

It’s sure to be an unforgettable night in Brisbane on the 30th, as eight of the very best local bands have been grouped together for this eliminatory round

The X&Y in Brisbane is bound to be bumping this weekend. Emergenza has organized eight of the very best up-and-coming bands that Brisbane has to offer into one single, power packed evening of rock and roll. Starting the night off is What We’re Worth, demonstrating their weight in pure metal crunch and punk attitude. After that deafening display, we have the blues-rock outfit The Rouse, whose straight-up approach to the blues will have you feeling right at home. Hopefully, they’ve wet your appetite for groovy tunes, because up next, there’s, yes we have it, F.O.O.D. Actually an acronym for Forged Out Of Dust, this fusion band will have you grooving to sounds inspired by everything from psych to latin beat. After you get a taste for that retro groove, Barrelfish will come to send the message straight home in the form of their hard, 70’s inspired alternative rock. Next up is Artisan Kin, an alternative indie band who will have you singing right along to their distinctly pop melodies. Then it’s on to The Stained Angels, a blues rock trio formed just for the festival and ready to give their all, in the form of raw rock soul, for tonight’s performance. As the sun is setting, on come the straightforward rock tunes of Night of the Day. Then it’s Tusk to close the night with their signature brand of alternative rock. If you’re in the mood for an all-night rock-a-thon, or if you just like to get your kicks by supporting your local up-and-coming Brisbane talent, tonight is your night. Be sure to come down to the X&Y Bar in Brisbane. You won’t be let down!
