    Debut Album from Artisan Kin

Brisbane indie rockers Artisan Kin are pumped to share their new music with their fans at X&Y this weekend

They describe themselves as modern pop rock alt indie, which sums them up pretty well. They have a distinctly melodic take on that genre, allowing for songs that will easily stick after just a single listen. No wonder they have over 1,000 likes on their Facebook band page. Their recently released debut album is entitled All the Creatures Are Stirring. You can get a sneak peak of one of the singles from the album ‘Pure’ in a video on their site, which is stocked full of behind the scenes production as well as promotional photos of the band. That song is full of their signature rhythmic guitar riffs as well as their soaring vocal melodies, coming from their singer, who is just as comfortable in his falsetto range as he is belting it out in a full rock voice. The title track to the album starts off with a slower, dreamier mix of their melodic indie pop sound, then jets into an upbeat rock anthem. All in all, this is a solid band that you are not going to want to miss. So come down and check them out on June 30th at the X&Y in Brisbane for the 1st step of the competition.
