The Techromancers woo us with their electronica and pop sounds.

Putting on a show for your eyes and ears the Techromancers are back on the scene and ready to take us on a musical journey.

For something a little different and a sound that will strike your ears, The Techromancers bring us some electro/pop music. Together since 2005 this threesome has been popping in and out of the Sydney area’s music scene. A short hiatus followed the 2006 release of their self-title album, but they’ve now made a come back which includes new music as well as shows where you can experience them live! Each brining their own passion and music vision to the ensemble, the three musicians who make up this band are dedicated to their art and passionate about making music for themselves as well as their audiences.

A show by the Techromancers is not just your run of the mill concert. What sets this band apart from many others is the fact that they place just as much emphasis on the performance aspect of their show as they do on their music. When attending their concert you are not only destined to hear some great music, but will be captivated by a well arranged and synchronized light show. Their songs are upbeat, energetic and as is usually the case with this genre – they invite the listener and audience to get up and dance along! Memory is one of these songs whose steady drum beat, even though synthesized will have you up on your feet in no time.

Those advocating the less is more mantra may say that an intricate visual performance takes away from what these guys are trying to accomplish musically. Having listened to a bunch of their pieces however I can say that their music does not appear to have suffered any for the effort they’ve put on the visual performance. As mature musicians, they appear to have this well under control and their music is both fun and meaningful. To get the full experience of the Techromancers, head to the Lair @ Metro on July 6th where these guy will be taking to the stage as part of the Emergenza Music Festival.
