    GETTING DOWN WITH ROSERVELT

This Melbourne band breaks it down for Emergenza before their show at the Epsy June 23rd

The stoner grunge sound of Roservelt is completely signature, quoting but never copying bands like Nirvana and Queens of the Stone Age. These guys have an armory of original tunes that will worm their way into your ears and force you to sing along. If you want to witness the madness first hand, you’ve got to come down to see them rock the Epsy stage on the 23rd of June. Before the show, they hang out with Emergenza and answer a few of our questions.

HOW DID YOU GUYS GET TOGETHER AS A BAND?

We were all raised in labs by Johnny Rotten. The band was formed by Matt and Bryce in high school around 2008. We went through many drummers over the years until we came across Alex and settled.

WHAT ARE THE MAJOR INFLUENCES ON YOUR SOUND?

Nirvana, The Men behind the Curtain, Muse, Chopin, Electric Wizard.

IF YOU COULD DESCRIBE YOUR MUSIC IN 3 WORDS, WHAT WOULD THEY BE?

    Energetic, uncoordinated, determined.

WHAT’S YOUR REHEARSAL AND RECORDING SPACE LIKE?

We rehearse at Pony Music on Sundays, and if it's booked we annoy all of Berwick.

WHERE WOULD YOUR DREAM GIG BE?

    Area 51.

WHAT PERSUADED YOU TO SIGN UP FOR EMERGENZA FESTIVAL?

We were contacted by you cats!

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST ABOUT THE FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE?

Cats the musical! New socks with free beer. Food. Some local grey beaver. And the chance to entertain a lovely audience
