This Melbourne band, made up of former buskers, definitely entertains with their cheeky tunes. They have a folk appeal, but don’t take themselves too seriously like so many other singer songwriters. New listeners should be warned before pressing play on their original track ‘Jazmin Et Cigarette’, for it will stick in your head for an obscenely long time after. On it they play with a hilarious, almost childlike back and forth male to female vocals on the topic of likes and dislikes “I love vodka, and I love cheese…”, but then spin into these incredibly sophisticated, layered vocal harmonies and pull your heart strings with a sense of romantic nostalgia “I hate being alone, but I love being alone… with you”. Don’t miss out on seeing them play live at the Epsy basement on the 22nd of June. They are sure to put a smile on your face.
