This newly formed band sound like old pros and takes the time to let us in on how they manage it. They’re determined to use the festival as a platform for reaching their ambitious goals, and they’re starting the 13th of May at X&Y. Come out and support them and you won’t be disappointed. They plan to play their ‘backsides’ off in a set of rootsy-rock-and-roll originals that are sure to get you shimmying and shaking out on the dance floor.

YOU SAY YOU’RE QUICKLY BECOMING A ‘FORCE TO BE RECKONED WITH’. CAN YOU EXPLAIN FURTHER?
We all met whilst we were in high school, but didn't actually form until about 6 months ago. 
 Rhys (our lead guitarist) had texted jack (drummer) about a possible collaboration. At this point Jack had just started a duo with Aaron (rhythm guitarist), and it all fell into place from there. We are quickly becoming a force to be reckoned with as we are 3 young passionate and persistent guys. 
We have goals set and we're not going to rest until we get there.

YOU MENTION THAT EACH SONG HAS A DIFFERENT SOUND BUT STILL HOLDS TO THE KEY VALUES OF THE BAND. WHAT ARE THESE KEY VALUES?
Our key values are that we don't want to follow the trends set by "popular music", just to gain a following. All of our songs have truth in them. Each song we write holds relevance to our lives (whether individually or as a group). Our inspiration comes solely from life and our surroundings.

WHAT ABOUT YOUR MUSICAL APPROACH BRINGS YOU TOGETHER AS MUSICIANS?
All three of us are in love with music. There is nothing that stands between us and our music.
This drive and commitment is what continues to bring us together.

WHAT'S THE FUTURE OF FALĘĘPO FRANCISCÕ? WHAT CAN WE EXPECT TO HEAR FROM YOU A FEW YEARS FROM NOW?
The future is whatever comes. Our plan is many more songs, many more cd’s, many more shows and (hopefully) more people hearing and attending them.

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO SIGN UP FOR EMERGENZA?
We jumped at the chance when we heard about Emergenza. It's a competition that has such great appeal to local bands, with the opportunity to not only play in front of a crowd of people who want to hear great live music, but also the chance to be catapulted from "nobodies" to, at the very least, locally and even nationally and internationally known.
We're so stoked to have this chance to be a part of this great festival, and have a chance to play at some of the best live venues in Brisbane.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THE MOST ABOUT THE FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE? WHAT’S YOUR GAME PLAN FOR GETTING TO THE FINALS?
We're looking forward mostly to making connections with not only new listeners, but other local bands. Live music isn't a competition, so you need to get to know everyone, and help each other out as much as you can. Our game plan is just to play our show, give all our energy and play our backsides off. Give it the very best shot we can.
