WHAT MOTIVATED YOU GUYS TO JOIN EMERGENZA?
We received an email from you guys describing the festival. It seemed like a good opportunity to play along side some other up and coming Brisbane bands. A good excuse to get drunk and play music.

WHAT ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO MOST ABOUT THE FESTIVAL EXPERIENCE?
As with any gig the opportunity to play the music we've created in front of a crowd is the thing we look forward to most.

WHAT DO YOU THINK MAY HELP SET BELLIGERENT GOAT APART FROM THE OTHER BRISBANE BANDS?
Well, we have a didgeridoo.

YOU’RE RATHER CRYPTIC IN YOUR DESCRIPTION OF THE BAND AS A ‘GOAT IN A CHINA SHOP’. CAN YOU ENLIGHTEN US ON THAT ONE?
Let us answer that question with another question: who wouldn't want to see a goat in a china shop?

YOU LIST ABOUT A HUNDRED BANDS AS INFLUENCES. CAN YOU TELL US MORE ABOUT YOUR DIVERSE MUSICAL INFLUENCES AND HOW THEY COME TOGETHER TO FORM YOUR UNIQUE SOUND?
We have 9 members in the band. We each have different tastes in music and draw influence from heaps of different places. This doesn't mean we try to replicate the sounds of any bands in particular; you just draw influence from the things you surround yourself with. Our other influences include the sun, wheelbarrows, Branch Coil Theory, Paco Theorem and the Dictionary of the Occult.

I THINK SHAVE THE GREY IS A STANDOUT PIECE. CAN YOU TELL US HOW THAT PARTICULAR SONG CAME ABOUT?
Thank you. One of our guitarists, honest Frank, is the mastermind behind Shave The Grey. He is afraid of getting old and is constantly shaving the grey out of his beard. The song definitely has something to do with love and understanding as well.
