Starting off their musical career as a cover band, Paranoid slowly grew into their own style and over the last few months have carved out a niche for themselves on Sydney’s local music scene. Their style is resemblant to that of the many band which influenced them and who they spent a chunk of their career covering. It’s therefore not a surprise that now that they’re making their own music, it’s very successful.

The video clip of one of the band’s recent concerts shows gives an insight into what a live show will be all about – lots of energy, bouncing on the stage and a smile here and there from the lovely lady who fronts the band. This small detail – the female vocalist – really sets Paranoid apart from other hard rock bands, including the ones they’ve taken after and covered in the past.

If up for an energetic show filled with music which will keep you dancing and having singing along in no time, Paranoid will be playing a gig on May 19th as part of the Emergenza Music Festival’s find round of shows in Sydney. Catch them at the Lair @ Metro as they open up the night, to be followed by six more bands.
