With over sever years on Australia’s music scene, HiddenAce has been a solid presence in iconic venues and listener’s ears. Despite some line up changes, the band has stayed true to its origins and plays the kind of music fans have come to expect from them. Playing a genre which is not easy to define, their sounds seems to encompass a variety of styles always well loved by audiences – rock, blues, funk and even the occasional Latin American innuendo. This mélange has allowed them to be successful at playing a variety of events and receive enthusiastic feedback from audiences young and old.
Their live show CV consists of some of the best known venues and events across the country. They are about to add one more to that list, having just recently enlisted to play as part of the Emergenza International Music Festival. They will be in concert at the Lair @ Metro on May 19th. If they advance to the next round, they will have a shot at playing a few more shows and a chance at going to Germany as part of the events International outdoor festival.
Having recently released their debut EP, HiddenAce is all set to take the audience by storm. For a sampling of their music, one needs only to go to the band’s website where five songs are available or your listening pleasure. I had a hard time picking a favorite as each piece is melodic, upbeat and offers something fresh. The steady beats and vocal harmonies make the music easy to listen to and after just a few moments you feel like you know the songs. By the end of Lies I was pretty much up and dancing as if it was my all time favorite feel good song. No wonder they elicit such a positive response from audiences all over!
