    NEWS

Stray Birds have found a home for the indie rock on Sydney’s music scene.

Having just launched a album, the boys are now hard at working promoting their music and hitting the stage whenever they can.

Three talented musicians came together to put – and leave- their mark on their city’s local music scene. Aside from a commitment to writing and performing their music, they are well established activists in promoting and helping to ensure the future of live music in Sydney. They’ve done this not only by contributing their own, well crafted music to the scene but also by taking part in some events to support the cause.
Combining a very melodic and powerful vocal with a tight rhythm section and guitar effects that take the listener on a journey across a broad range of sound Stray Birds stay true to the indie rock genre while creating something fresh. White Wine like Water is not just a touch of tongue twister as a title, but is also an excellent piece of music. The beginning of the song is my fav part with the sequential introduction of various elements to the song – starting wit the bass, then the vocal etc.
Promising a live show that is energetic, wild and unpredictable, after seeing the band’s collection of YouTube videos I am in no doubt that they can deliver. The guys’ artistic eye comes across not just in their music but also in their video montages. Each clip is structured to compliment the music it accompanies, thus helping us to understand and appreciate the band better. We can appreciate them in all of their live glory on May 18th as they take the stage for the first round of the Emergenza Music Festival at The Lair.
