White Ocean Avenue bring their music to the streets of Sydney.

The Lair at Metro is in for a treat as these four take to the stage on May 18th and bring draw us in with their captivating melodies.

Just reading the band’s intro caused me to immediately warm up to them. I love that they don’t take themselves too seriously, have a sense of humour and are open to engaging their audience with a little playful banter. These four musicians came together on the east coast of Australia just recently to create and disseminate their particular version of Alternative rock.

With a six piece demo available for fans to download for free, these guys show a true commitment to getting their band’s music out there and heard. In today’s evolving music industry, making your music accessible is key – especially as an up & coming band. What better way to invite people to listen to your music, then offering it free? Based on the commitment, passion and professionalism I hear on this demo, I would say coming out to see them live would be a worthwhile investment.
The mellow melodies combined with the singer’s crisp vocal result in a sound that is both wistful and energetic at the same time. I thought Forever was particularly exemplary of this – starting off with some delicate notes and a soft vocal the song picks up tempo and the passion increases as the piece progresses. Not to be missed on stage!
