    NEWS

Four artists have come together to form the folksy Jack Selwyn.

Variety is the spice of life, and this band offers us the kind of variety we don’t see enough of in up & coming music nowadays.

If you’re looking for something unique, true treat for your ears, you’re in luck. The young up & coming band Jack Selwyn from Sydney delivers on just that.
Incorporating instruments such as mandolins, double basses and violins they bring something fresh to the folk music genre. These four musicians came together just last year, and have already received an overwhelmingly positive response to their music. They’ve played a number of successful live shows, recorded some tracks and have nearly 700 followers on their band’s Facebook page. This is no easy feat, as many bands could tell you, but it is a testament to their music and passion.

While the musicians are all young, their music has a timeless and mature sound. The acoustic guitar leading into Sleep Love captures the listener’s ear immediately. With the goal of increasing their fan base and spreading their music to as many ears as possible, Jack Selwyn will be taking part in the Emergenza International Music Festival in mid-may, kicking the season off with a show at The lair at Metro on May 18th. I look forward to seeing how their music translates into a live show.
