    KOLORSOLand their Roots Rock!

Must See Roots Rock four-piece Kolorsol plays the 12th of May at X&Y Brisbane

After reaching number 18 on Triple J’s Roots Chart for their original song ‘You Like Me’, this band may be one of the ones to beat in Emergenza this year. This song is catchy and upbeat, with the male a female vocals bleeding right together in a wondrous exclamation of finding true love.

The male voice is super smooth, quasi-androgynous, the female, very bluesy, and unmistakably inspired by modern vocalists such as Florence from Florence and the Machine, and Adele. The instrumentalists are straight- forward, get your feet tapping, Roots Rock.

Together less than a year, they’re already packing their schedule with travelling gigs including a few alongside important up-and-coming acts such as The Vernons and the Jakarta Criers.

‘Be Mine Tonight’ has a much grittier sound, but is no less catchy. With a breakdown in the mid-section where the song is reduced to just drums and vocal groans, echoing the song’s lusty message, this one will really get you going. The energy is sure to be even rawer live, so be sure to check them out at X&Y on the 12th of May.
