Hematic is a five piece group based in Sydney that incorporates thrash and death metal. They have a very unique vocal style that really gives them an edge in this competition. They are different from many of the other bands in this round of Emergenza and they are definitely a band that you won’t want to miss this April 12th playing live at The Lair in The Metro.

What led you to participate in Emergenza?

The beer and the bitches.

Your music is quite a bit different than the other entries, what do you think gives you an edge?

There are 1-2 bands that stand out from the gang this round of Emergenza and this is fantastic. If I wanted to hear the same old bullshit that I can listen to on the radio or illegally download I wouldn't bother leaving the house to go see a gig. As for our edge... we plan to abuse the audience until they raise there hands.

You mentioned online that you have an EP coming out soon, when do you expect that to be available?

The tunes should be all tracked mixed and mastered sometime in May. It will most likely be a full length and not a EP. The simple fact is our songs our quite lengthy so a EP is currently out of the question. We are playing around with the idea of putting out a EP sometime in the future. It will most likely contain 1 track.

In your own words how can you best describe your unique musical style?

We play Extreme Symphonic Blackened Melodic Doom Viking Death Folk Metal........ core. What we really hate are those posers that play Extreme Symphonic Blackened Melodic Power Viking Death Folk Metal........ core. Fucking Wankers!!!
