Emergenza kicks off Brisabne for 2013 at X & Y Bar on Easter Monday with 7 bands including Turtle Dog, Autumn, Pyre and Ice, Chasing Closure, Hazaiah, Jericho13 and New Age Therapy

    Turtle Dog '

Young new 3 piece band Turtle Dove opened the evening with their indie pop tunes... with singer/guitarist , and drummer swapping instruments throughout the set, was great to see a range of talent from such a young band.. These guys brought a stack of supporters with them and if they can build on the performce and continue to get their fans along, will give the competition a shake...

    Autumn

Indie alternative band Autumn took to the stage next and showed us their unique and creative sound, and once the set got going we got to hear the unique vocal tones of the lead singer, and a great vibe in the room was the result, this lead the band to get enough votes to get into the next round.

    Pyre And Ice

Female fronted band that will take you back to the 80's and 90's, Pyre and Ice rocked the stage this evening, with their catchy rock pop tunes. An 80s / 90's guitar tones, and overall sound, but fronted by a powerful female vocal this band could

    Hazaiah

If you are Chilli Peppars fan, then you must check out this Brisbane 4 peice funk fusion rock band, Hazaiah. This act rocked the stage for their full set and left nothing in the tank, encapsulating the crowd with their funk infused rock funk tunes. The Bass Player was the standout musician of the night with his range of slaps, strums and highly energetic basslines,

    New Age Therapy

Hailing from Brisbane, new age therapy took to the stage with their punk rock set. They're a 4 peice with a few old time rockers on drums, bass and guitar and female singer.

    Jericho 13 -

Heavy rock band Jericho 13 played next with the aid of their drum machine as they have recently lost their drummer.. With influences from the 80's and 90's bands like of Alice in chains, Alice Cooper, and the harder end of Aerosmith, these guys rocked the stage and gave their all. considering the circumstances played a great rock show....

    Chasing Closure

Chasing Closure gave us all some closure on the night by closing out the show with their catchy yet alternate heavy rock tunes.. This 5 peice showed oodles of energy and played as a true 5 peice should with a great blend of 2 guitars. These guys earned the right to go through to the semi's later in the year and we wish them all the best with that!
