April 1st at the X&Y Bar, seven bands to delight the audience.

What better way to spend a Monday night then in the company of some very talented, determined and energetic musicians?

Emergenza International Music Festival kicks off the season in Brisbane on April 1st with an energy filled night of music courtesy of seven of the city’s finest up & coming musical acts.
To start the night, Turtle-Dog rocks the bar with their 90’s inspired rock/alternative performance. It can be tough being the opening act, but with all the effort these guys have put into the show, they’re surely up for the challenge!
Up next, Autumn brings a lighter, more mellow tone to the stage. The four piece with their talented female vocalist and acoustic guitar front and centre speak to the crowd and a different kind of appeal.
The four piece Hazaiah is next, with upbeat sounds and funky beats which are sure to get the crowd bouncing right into the energetic atmosphere they create.
Pyre & Ice follows with a sound that is very complimentary and in keeping with the tone set. Playing rock, but giving it their own personal twist, they entice the crowd into their own musical world.
A little punk rock from New Age Therapy pumps the energy back into the room make everyone jump up from their seats as they hop on stage to take their place as the night’s fifth band.
As the night winds down, Chasing Closure bring us some familiar sounds of the much loved alternative music genre. The fun-loving foursome are bound to be a crowd-pleaser.
For the last half hour of the show, the audience will be brought into the industrial world created by Jericho13 - a switch in gears to leave the audience with something distinctive to remember.
This wraps up Emergenza’s 2013 debut in Brisbane. But have no fear – if you’re an up & coming music enthusiast, there’s another night of eight bands just around the corner!
