HERE'S TO NEVERLAND – the young five-piece chats with us about their project.

An interview with one of Brisbane’s youngest and most entertaining pop/punk bands.

When did you form your band? What inspired you to make music together?
The band formed in the later months of 2012, Kevin played guitar and was on the lookout for fellow musicians, meeting Matt through a music website to take up bass and then Will began over Facebook to play guitar Guitar. Daniel was then brought along to practice by Will and he also joined the band on Drums. After trying out numerous vocalists in the following weeks, Rosie was picked to join the band and Here's To Neverland was formed.
We were inspired to make music together because we all had the same/similar goals and also shared a common interest in music liking similar artists and genre's. We also all wanted a band where we could be good friends at the same time whilst making music together.

What do you find to be your biggest challenge both musically and in terms of performance?
One of our greatest challenges Musically would be that coming from all different backgrounds, we have to mold our musical interests together to write our own music which we all like.
Our greatest challenge so far Performance wise as a new and emerging band has been not knowing what to expect playing to a new audience and in new venues/locations. Overall our reception has been great so far and people have been very friendly.

So far, what's been your band biggest success?
We have already had a variety of great successes given the relatively short amount of time we have been together. The biggest one of us was that after only being a band for 2 months we shot and recorded a Music Video and Song in time for Christmas which was a huge success and turned out great !

What made you guys decide to take part in the Emergenza International Music Festival?
We have heard great things about Emergenza and we think it's such a great opportunity for bands and especially new artists to get their music out to a larger audience and have the opportunity to play some really great venues. Also the prize of playing over in Germany is amazing and would be a dream come true.

What do you hope the future holds for Here's to Neverland?
Later this year we will be hitting the studio to record our Debut EP/Album which we hope we can release through a Indie Label. We hope after having a solid release things will only grow from there. We would love to be able to tour as much as possible all over the world and play all the big festivals such as Vans Warped Tour, Soundwave and Big Day Out to get our music to a global audience.
