When did you form your band? What inspired you to make music together?
The original band was formed in early 2009 but has since undergone changes that every band faces. The current band line up has been together since 2011 and it has progressed well. The inspiration to start the band was the pure enjoyment of playing and writing music with your friends. Some of us have different points of view on why we play music but overall it’s just really nice to sit down with your friends and create something completely different.

How do you guys divide the creative process? Who writes your songs?
We never really gave the creative process to certain people. Adam generally wrote a large portion of the songs to begin with as the band worked on finding the right members. After we wrote the first couple of songs a certain style was born and we have just developed it from there. New members have added their own influences and that is what you hear today.

What are you looking forward to the most about the show in April?
Playing live! We love getting on stage and playing our own material. Our friends and family always come along to support us so overall it’s just very enjoyable for everyone. Plus the guys and girls in Skies Collide always put on a great show.

What do you like most about playing live?
The atmosphere and thrill of playing live is great. We strive to put on great shows and impress as many people as possible but at the same time there is no pressure. We generally play a game of pool 10 minutes before our set starts or we are just chilling out by the bar, it’s a great experience.

Is there anything you would like the fans to know about Chasing Closure?
Our genre and actual sound are two different things; we believe our sound caters for a wide rage of genres and preferences. Whether you like metal, indie or pop, there should be a song that you can find a connection too, so come see us play!
