Skies Collide for these talented musicians as they put their best foot forward.

Just starting out on the local music scene, this foursome is making great strides into their musical future with charming music.

Just starting out on the local music scene, this foursome is making great strides into their musical future with charming music.

The recently formed four piece from Brisbane brings a new feel to the alternative rock scene. Whether it’s due to their young age or simply their unique take on the genre, what they offer is bound to please and intrigue. Perhaps it’s the addition of a female member to the typically male-dominated genre that allows these guys to set themselves apart. Whether it’s her influence in the songwriting or simply the sound of her voice, it’s colours the music a lovely shade of distinctive.

Currently in the process of recording a number of singles and writing new tunes all the time, the band seems determined to carve out a spot for themselves in the blooming Brisbane music scene. They have their work cut out for them, as is the case for any up & coming band, but they seem up for the challenge both musically and in terms of attitude. They have taken a big step forward by joining the world’s largest festival for emerging bands – Emergenza, where they will play in just a few weeks.

My fav element of Skies Collide’s music is the instrumental intros. As illustrated in He’s So and Beck & Call, this melodic passage which encompasses elements of percussion and guitar is an excellent way to capture the audience. Can’t wait to catch it live!
