Emergenza kicks off its Australian season in Melbourne on Wednesday, March 27th. Tempted by the opportunity for their “big break”, many of Melbourne’s best artists will be gracing the stage of the notorious venue, The Espy. Among this talented group of competitors is The Children of the New Forest. Little is known about this obscure indie band, aside from their collection of tracks that can be found on Triple J Unearthed and SoundCloud. It is this body of work that is a testament to this band’s skill and creativity.

Inspired from a variety of artists, which include The Beatles, The Strokes, and Kings of Leon, The Children of the New Forest use these stimuli to influence their unique tunes. It is their quirky, alternative vocals coupled with upbeat instrumentals that form the basis for their music. The Children of the New Forest set the bar high when it comes to originality.
