This superb four piece indie/alternative rock has been on the scene for some time, and working hard on their music, their fan base and making a good impression with both. Having recently taken part in the Emergenza International Music Festival, the band played an energetic, upbeat semi final show and narrowly missed the finals. Regardless, they put their best foot forward and took away from it an experience that will stay with them for long time. Being able to play in some of Sydney’s most well known venues was an excellent opportunity for this band.
They have played a number of live shows and if that isn’t enough for fans, their website offers streaming of a few of their more popular tracks. The band’s sound is very melodic and in line with their indie rock style. They have an excellent online presence, with band profile on all of the most important up & coming band forums and outlets. It’s obvious that they are a group of professional musicians, who leave nothing to be desired in terms of music or their band promotion and marketing.
One of the most distinctive elements of this band’s sound is the vocal. It’s quite powerful and sets the band apart form other bands in the same genre. Not only does it compliment the music and instruments, but it’s has just the right tone to bring to life the lyrics of each piece. In the song Better Off this is illustrated very. While the instrumental elements each have a place in their own right, it seems to me the vocal, and in some instances the backing vocal that take the spotlight. The guitar solos and drum & bass accents are well timed and in perfect synch with the rest of the song. A very tight set with great arrangements from a talented emerging band.
