With some very ambitious plans for 2013, the boys of Halfway Homebuoy are hard at work putting the final touches on their first album entitled Burning in the Sun. With an impressive repertoire of live concerts, festivals and battle of the band type events under their belt, these boys are set to take the country and even world by storm touring the eastern coast of Australia and even Europe to further promote the debut album in question. Originally from Europe, the band members have used their experience of crossing the ocean as inspiration and written many songs about it.
In terms of band marketing and promotion, these guys really know how it’s done. They managed to get one of the world’s largest guitar manufacturers to lend them some guitars to use during the recording of their debut album. You can bet the AR department must have a ton of faith in these guys to do something like that – and it means very, very good things for the band. And the good news keeps coming, a live gig this up & coming band recently played in Sydney was named Gig of the Week!
Their unique musical style, energetic live performance and song titles as well as lyrics which really resonate with the audience, Halfway Homebuoy is sure to be a crowd pleaser. Their European background and international experience obviously has a great influence on their music, with songs title such as ‘Dirty Diana’ and ‘The Sydney Song’. The contrast in these two songs is as evident as their talent in each extreme of their music. They can do slow, acoustic pieces as easily as they can do energetic rock songs with a strong rhythm section and guitars to follow.
