Gutter Tactic came together in 2011 as a group of guys who just wanted to play pure Australian Metal. Following in the footsteps of many famous Australian bands who’ve succeeded in this genre, Gutter Tactic have carved out a niche of their own on Sydney’s up & coming music scene. They have played a number of live shows over the last few months, many of which were part of larger battle of the bands events in Sydney. Most recently they took part in the semi final round of the Emergenza Festival, where they just missed being one of the finalists.
Regardless, they put on a fantastic show and having taken part in the international showcase gave them the opportunity to play some awesome venues and bring their music to a huge number of new & potential fans. They have had very good feedback from this show and a quick Google search for the band, came up with a lot of media coverage and general info on the band. It looks like the boys are on it when it comes to using the media to promote their band. Their single has received very positive reviews and has been listened to an impressive number of times off their MySpace music page.
With an EP on the horizon, Gutter Tactic are hard at work putting the final touches on their work. Currently, fans can listen to their one singe Form on the band’s online profile pages. With energetic backbeats from the drum and a complimenting bass sound these guys take metal to a new extreme. The guitar riffs are well worked and stand apart from the rest of the music which all together forms the perfect background for the vocalist’s growls and screams – a signature of the genre. Gutter Tactic promises a new album soon – and I suspect it will be worth the wait.
