    NEWS

Rattlesnake will sting you with vocal harmonies, great melodies and spunky energy.

While their hair is average size, their music is bigger… in fact – it’s down right Big Hair Rock.

All eyes will be on this rock band out of Sydney when they take the stage at the Metro on December 15th, to compete in the final round of the Emergenza International Music Festival. They have come very far from where they started in this showcase for up & coming bands are now ready to take it all the way… all the way to Germany they hope, to play the international open air final alongside bands and musicians form across the world. Their clean rock sound – much like the signature t-shirts the band members sport – takes the audience back to the sounds of the 80’s & 90’s, something they clearly appreciate.

These four gents have been hard at work promoting this final show, understanding that their audience’s support will be instrumental to the success, along with the final scores they receive from the judges present at the event. Creative both as far as their music and promotion of their band and music is concerned, these guys are working hard to promote the final show. They are saving themselves so to speak, for the crowd of that show, as it appears they have no other shows booked for till then. They’ve taken the time to make sure their show is advertised and posted on every up & coming band forum and concert listing website for the Sydney area.

I believe the expression Big Hair Rock is used when referring to the type of sound that Rattlesnake produces. Offering sounds that are super pleasant and kind to the ears, Rattlesnake have good melodies, a strong rhythm section and powerful, well timed guitar riffs that accentuate just the right section in each song. While Set Me Free is a good example of this genre, it’s the sounds and vocals of Believe Me that seem to exhibit the bands strength both in terms of songwriting and arrangements as well as actual execution. The vocalists raspy voice picks up in tempo and clarity at points in the song that call for it, rounding off the experience in the right way.
