When seven talented musicians get together to form one band, you can expect something magical to happen. This is precisely what’s happened with Poetic Kaos. Blending together rock, indie and a bit of country music could be a potential recipe for chaos indeed. These guys however have artfully mixed in just the right amount of sound and feel from each genre to create a sound that is unique to them, and that allows them to express themselves in the warmest of ways. Their music can soon be heard live on stage, as they take their place as one of Melbourne’s finalists of the Emergenza International Music Festival.
The musicians are already hard at work promoting their show and making sure all of their fans are there to support them. As part of the band promotion and marketing strategy they have taken to various social media for music and are putting the word out. They band also has their own website, where a full bio, discography and list of upcoming shows are available. They have been playing shows for several years now, and placing in the finals of this international battle of the bands is a good step for them towards growing their fan base.
In the greatest compliment I could ever extend a musician I will say, the singer has a voice very similar to that of Jon Bon Jovi. With the melodic sounds of an acoustic guitar in the background, the vocalist tells the stories and tales of his music very effectively. A number of the band’s songs are available online and, after having listened to them all, I really could not chose a favourite. Whether it’s the impeccable songwriting, the perfectly harmonized female backing vocals or the flawless instrumental flow, If I have to pick one, it would have to be Remove Your Hands, because it embodies all of these elements. These guys make me wish I could afford a flight to Australia in December.
