Saturday 15th of December will see many bands from all other the country displaying their skills in front of judges.

The up-coming musical talent will have one shot to prove that they can be the right unsigned band to represent Australia in germany next year in August at the Taubertal festival. The festival where 30,000 music lovers will descend in the most beautiful valley that bavaria has. Rothenburg is the setting and the river tauber runs through it. This 11th century village is a place you can only dream of.....unless you get to play there!

Bands in the national final in Sydney will have the opportunity to win prizes and get recognized by the judges for their songwriting skills and for the stage confidence. A dozen bands will play on the same stage and play as if this is the most important gig of their lives so far. Because it is! One winning band from the Brisbane final at The HI-FI club and one winner from the Melbourne final done at the Hi-Fi the day after, will be competing as well for a spot. Once a winning group is chosen and the best guitarists, drummers, bassists, singers announced, we will see plenty of beer flowing (as always) but we can assure you that there will be plenty more from our kind sponsors in Germany where the backstage fridge at this monstrous event is always stacked!

And rightly so because if a superstar musician needs beer before rocking 30,000 people he must have one! So do you bit Sydney-siders.....go support your local music scene because you never know.
