Nothing captures an audience’s eye and ear like a sound they’re not expecting. Victoria’s Rhys Crimmin & the Toms capture not just the senses but also one’s heart. By incorporating instruments like the violin and an upright base into their otherwise classic rock pieces, they have managed create a genre all their own. This did not go unnoticed by the professionals as they were declared the champs of the Emergenza Festival in Australia and represented the country in Germany this past summer.
The song Musical Journey delivers just what it promises in the title. A journey not only through various musical genres but also what feels like continents with certain melodies in the song having a distinctly Gaelic sound. Kudos to them for brining these elements together so well.
