Melbourne, Sydney & Adelaide going in full force!!!

“Australia has been exiting and full of rich, young (and seasoned) talent”… Our man Pete, in his own words, is putting the news for you, out there in musicland wherever you are…. Melbourne has been clearing the biggest numbers as far as the amount of bands entering. Good ones I must add….. Sydney as been the most challenging….. But challenges just make things more rewarding. Sydney by the way, has seen some of the coolest bands in the country. Adelaide seems to have the best ratio of great bands, with almost every band showing either great song writing or excellent musicianship! Here’s an example of fine bands we saw so far…… Melbourne Newskinn – Awesome melodic metal band. Been around for a while and clearly a pro group of musicians. Just perfect. 3 In A Tree – Funk/dance/hiphop group using stomp boxes, didgeridoos and a plants on stage as props. Enough said. Circus Kaos – Theatrical cabaret type outfit. Very, very interesting, and a big crowd puller! Check them out! Sydney Autopilot – The most exiting band in Australia so far. Had the crowd jumping, dancing and moshing. Absolute rockstars Leroy – Funk/dance band with more members than I could count. Trumpets, strange costumes and a spunky frontwoman make these guys highly entertaining. Simply brilliant! Adelaide Wylde Throe – think Airborne. Possibly the next ACDC! 4 Kings Loud – A bunch of mature musicians who actually had most of the crowd voting for them. VERY, very good players with songs that belong on the radio (criminal if they don’t…or we’ll help them anyway) Black Orchid – melodic goth metal band. Female singer and well rehearsed unit make these guys a quality metal contender. Just amazing. These my friends are just some of the bands that played the Australian leg of the Emergenza international Festival. Come support them and help them go to Germany in 2009!!!
