    Batia-teryx (Bah-tee-ah-ter-ix) was formed out of a collaboration between Suzie Shiaman and Ron Schmidtling. Suzie met Ron at a ceremony celebrating the birth of the Universe, and lo, there was creation. A summer of Ron producing and Suzie singing gave rise to a three-song demo.
    Suzie promoted it, people liked it, and the band was a natural outgrowth. Batia-teryx plays a combination of science-based rock, emotional balads, and jamming spirituals- it's an alchemical mix of science and soul, making ART.
