Atlas Dying is a project that attempts to meld Swedish melodic death metal and American brutal hardcore. This may sound like the typical metalcore band that is so prolific now. But, Atlas Dying draws their influences from so many different sources and pours so much of their hearts into the music, that the end result is profoundly moving.
Their influences come from bands such as; The Mars Volta, At The Drive In, Dark Tranquility, As I Lay Dying, Callinish Circle, In Flames, Metallica, At The Gates, as well as many others.
Atlas Dying is a new and upcoming metal band that originated in Fort Walton Beach, FL and now is located in Latham, NY. With their full-length freshman offering, Images Inward and a new bass player, Atlas Dying is pushing their way into the Metal scene. Currently the band is working on their second album, A Wanted Awakening, potentially to be released in the fall of 2007.
With the tools needed and the will to succeed, Atlas Dying is a force to be reckoned with.
