    Red Silhouette began in a Berklee College of Music practice room as a mutual creative vision between Dave Cohen and Aleks von Korff. Dave had been experimenting in mixed meter compositions while trying to crossbreed the melodic and the brutal. Aleks' musical background included prog frontrunners Dream Theater and Rush, as well as metal acts such as Lamb of God and As I Lay Dying. Ryan Gobeille's involvement in the band came naturally as he had played bass in several New Jersey hardcore acts and was Aleks' roommate at the time. As everyone would soon find out, Ryan's explosive live persona would become a driving element in the group's stage dynamic. A few names were suggested regarding who the other guitarist would be, but Sarah Martinez, who was an acquaintance through the same circle of friends, happened to fit the bill perfectly. Her truly unique compositional approach, joined by her expertise in classic metal, proved to be indispensable in helping to define the band's musical direction.
    The lineup was joined by Dustin Higgins; a California native with a love of screamo and hardcore, but eventually it became clear that his vocal style did not fit with the sound that the band was aiming for. Soon after Dustin’s departure, the final position in Red Silhouette was filled by Eli Cutting, whose dynamic vocal presence contained all the elements that was needed in a frontman. By March, 2006 Red Silhouette had put together enough original material to travel to Brooklyn, NY and record their demo, Second to the Disaster. With a press kit on the way, they are now getting ready to take the world by storm. So, sit back, relax and enjoy the headrush.
