Outskirts was formed in 2003, when Jeroen, Willem and Christophe thought it would be cool to have their own band. They started experimenting with loads of covers, but as they didn't have a singer yet, they asked Nick to join the band. That's when the real stuff began. They started to make their own songs and created their own sound. In april 2004, they went to a studio and recorded 5 songs, and hey, guess what, people actually liked it! Back then they were aged between 16 and 17, so you can say they started off pretty well. 2 years of rehearsing and performing flew by, while the band, as well as their music, changed... They bought better guitars and better amps, made a lot of progress and discovered a lot of (new) inspiring bands. Their sound became slightly different, but the spirit they had in the beginning is still there... In 2006, they are more rocking than ever and recorded a new demo. As they have a lot of influences, it's hard to describe the genre of the band. Let's say it's a mix of rock 'n roll, emo-rock and danceable brit-pop. One thing's for certain: they play with a lot of energy on stage and their ambitions run high. Watch out for them, baby! Outskirts Of Society traces its name back to Kurt Cobain's biography.
