A crazed, young bi-sexual band (aged 16-20yrs.), founded in 2004 in a little village called Blaricum, Noord-Holland by guitarist and pianist, merging a fine nameless group of seven together soon to be officially named two way radio. Because if it's diversity in members (drums, keys, guitar, bass and up to three vocalists) the band also merges a wide scala of musical preferences together. A combination of mostly rock, funk and pop, with specks of blues and progressive rock, bound together in jamsession-like songs, something they like to show on stage as well. two way radio also gets its proper amount of what they'd like to call bassual influences. The band finds itself in a general unclassifiable genre, but they don't fancy the grimm categoriser breathing down their necks so if you ask them, 'it's just called rock'. The mix instrumental / vocal also brings two different types of music together, being as it is, two way radio's uniqueness lies in their power-of-three vocalists who form an icon next to an easy accesable sound, however the vocals do not have a leading role. two way radio treats its instrumentalists and it's vocalists equal so every member is equally important. It's like a tag-team on stage when every bandmember in his turn shows the crowd what he's/she's got. After the first demo recordings in the winter of 2004, which mostly consisted of covers (this was when they wrote and recorded their first, and for some time only song the room) two way radio mastered their performance untill the summer of 2005 when their gigs were put on hold for a while to make way for songwriting. The new songs, to be recorded december 2005 to march 2006, freed their creativity and very often changed their interpretations of music. Now two way radio is looking forward to start a whole new gig agenda to present their new songs. With a door in the floor approach the songs mostly depend on their groove and (hard rocking) female touch while on stage.
