    Ilanois is the band formed around singer/songwriter Ilan Palstra. The band with bass player Titus Steegstra, drummer Gerwin Terpstra and guitar player Peter Kiel is a solid collective. The songs of the songwriter are defined by press as "beautiful songs" and "solid mainstream" pop/rock. Ilan has a special clear voice and also due to his falsetto voice it reminds you of Chris Martin (Coldplay). You can also hear the melancholic influences of Chris Isaak en Jeff Buckley. Ilanois was support act of the Calling (USA) and of Kane, Anouk, Racoon en Blof(NL). Ilanois played in Amsterdams famous venues like De Melkweg and Paradiso, had airplay on 3 Fm, Kink Fm, Freez Fm and several others. Two singles were released the last few years, Quiet (Produced by JB Meyers) en Save Me. The video of the single Quiet has been played frequently on The Box. Their upcoming album "Do you hear me" was recorded in the studio of Syb van der Ploeg en Nico Outhuyse (former-members of de Kast), and mixed by Han Nuyten in the Bulletsound studios. The release of this album will be march 2007.
