Some Weird Sin
Some Weird Sin is an indie rock band from the area of Amsterdam, the Netherlands. The three members are all songwriters, approaching songs from different angles. Together they forge piano, drums, electric guitar and two voices into a sexy and aggressive indie rock sound. In the lyrics, recurring themes are the beauty and despair of everyday life, thereby adding to the sometimes sinister feeling of the music.
Biography
In the summer of 2004, three people bumped into each other on some weird dating site, and it was love at first sight. Right on their first date, Lindy, Emiel and Gerard grabbed their instruments and Some Weird Sin was born. They had their on-stage debut within a few months and the band has been playing in different cities since then. In 2005, the first EP TAPE was recorded, featuring six original songs. In the meantime, the band also wrote a score for the classic silent movie Faust (1926) by the famous director F.W. Murnau, which was performed live on several occasions.

After having played with Some Weird Sin for a bit more than two years, Emiel left the band in 2006 and was replaced by Philip, guitarist of Redbrick VCR.
