Hello, we're Paper Sky and I guess you could call us a Euro trash band. Formed in Italy at the beginning of 2008, the blood count among us goes from Spain to Holland to Italy to England and then back again. And this is reflected in our music. We try to produce earthy, rich and original music that walks a fine line between commercialism and innovation taking cues from people such as Pink Floyd, Patti Smith, Radiohead, Dylan, Tom Waits and classical composers such as Debussy and Britten. Passion for what we do is of utmost importance to us- we're not in it for an X-factor style quick buck and a shot at fame.
Formed at the beginning of 2008 we have played and will continue to play countless gigs in the UK and Italy- from major city squares, to pubs, pizzerias, clubs and dives to the Natural History Museum as support to Bryan Ferry. We've played to an audience of 5 as well as 1500 and even got to use sinks as bathrooms (Lucky we’re not fat yet).
At the end of 2009 we went into the studio to record our first five track E.P - self-released at the end of January 2011. It is being physically distributed in our hometown of Bologna (small indie record shop- Disco D'oro) and is being aired on local radio stations as well as being picked up by stations in the USA.
In a world where products appear and disappear all in the same breath, we, Paper Sky, are determined to bring something lasting, and emotive to the table. It may take us years, we may end up on stage with our zimmerframes, but we will get there.
