    TOP STORIES
With guitars that will make your ears bleed, drums that will drive you insane, and a practice room that makes a crack house look like the Hilton, the Shoals area has never rocked harder than with Jessica’s Mistake. Muscle Shoals, Alabama’s Jessica’s Mistake began in spring 2001 hitting the stage with a mixture of modern rock with pop/punk influences. That season, JM debuted at the University of North Alabama’s resident Alpha Tau Omega chapter party drawing in over 600 people. They soon began writing more material, and created their first EP, “Last Kiss,” recorded in early summer of 2001. August provided opportunity for JM to unveil “Last Kiss” at Sports Rock Café with a performance that brought in over 300 people in a small club in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. The first single, “About Me,” debuted on Star 94.9 WMSR in Florence and stayed in heavy rotation June through November of 2002. In August of 2002, “About Me,” secured a spot on the “Nightly Top 10 at 10” for four months straight (August until November 2002). After numerous shows throughout 2003, the Jessica’s Mistake demo, which featured a new creative progression of the band with reworked and new material, hit in March of 2004 and was recorded at the legendary Fame Recording Studio in Muscle Shoals, Alabama. Since then, Jessica’s Mistake has enjoyed an ever-growing fan base, merchandise sales, and opportunities to play their music for several different audiences across the Southeast, including winning fourth place in the Battle of the Bands, presented by Budweiser, at Club La Vela (Panama City Beach, Florida) in August of 2005.

Jessica’s Mistake is John Jackson, Todd Manley, Rob Ashley, and Ian Nash. John, age 24, has been a very gifted and talented artist in both singing and songwriting since his early teenage years. Influenced by classical and indie rock, John brings these genres and his merciless vocals into the synergy of Jessica’s Mistake. Todd, age 24, brings the metal and southern rock into the band with hard-hitting solos and adds that melodic voice that cuts into the body of its audience. John and Todd collaborate on the writing of JM’s musical assault. Rob, age 24 and influenced by jazz and rock, makes up the backbone of the group with driving bass lines that keep the songs in check and the audience feeling the music. Ian, the youngest member of the group at age 21, is the veteran virtuoso adding furious rhythm and his rock/metal influence for JM’s dynamic songs.

Jessica’s Mistake is ready to tear throughout the U.S. unleashing a rock ‘n roll onslaught. Are you ready?
