BIOGRAPHY
Beer Society was established at the beginning of 2004 by the guitarist Viliam Štrba.
The first formation contained three members: Vilo Štrba – guitar, Kubo Kalnássy – bass, Martin Skladan – drums. After some time there was another player invited - Tomáš ´Poky´ Pokorný.
The band settled in this formation performed at their first concert (the 1st of May 2004) in Vajnory, by the occasion of the Slovak republic´s income into the Europian Union, however without the vocals yet. A few days later, Beer Society took the missing element to them, Palo Hrivňák – the vocalist. In this formation they played five live performances.
Regarding to Martin´s school duties, the band was obliged to look for an appropriate substitution. In time of searching Palo also decided to finish his acting as the band singer and in a short time the guys knew their new drummer Tomáš Rončák.
The band kept on in practising the old and new own production. But there was the same question settled again: ‚What are we going to do with the missing vocals for all the finished and also incompleted full strong songs?‘ After trying few novices, the guys decided to approach their beermate Matej Štelár at the Beerfest (June 2005) and then drank it up with a few liters of golden liquid treasure.
At the beginning of December 2005 Beer Society recorded the first studio act in Šamorín, named „Demo 2005“.
After the demo recording proceeded in March 2006 Poky decided to leave, as well as Martin had decided before, both for school obligations and since that time the band has been playing in the four members´ formation.
In March 2008 Beer Society had recorded the compilation of three songs named BEERACLE and only two months later, on the 3rd of May 2008, the guys participated at the bands´ competition in Skiernewice in Poland nearby Warsaw, on the seventh year of the musical-competitive action - ROCK MAY FESTIVAL. Ancompromisingly they won the first price of winners! They also gained the financial prize and the promise of being one of the next-year festival´s headliners!
The styl that Beers Society has been playing in not easily definable. It is some kind of thrash metal, hard-rock, hardcore, metalcore with solos including some blues elements mixture. BEER METAL is the only eloquent term or description, that this band has been kneaded the ears of their public with.
Beer Society obeys the call words - Beer, Sex and Rock ´n´ Roll!!!
