Fondatisi nel 2009, gli Open Cages hanno girato i locali di Milano ed Hinterland facendo ballare il pubblico a suon di cover e mash-up in stile pop rock. Negli anni, la band si è poi evoluta iniziando a scrivere brani inediti, mantendendo il genere ma aggiungendo sfumature rockabilly, metal e reggae, facendo così della versatilità un marchio di fabbrica; del resto, seguendo la filosofia della band, un animale, quando scappa dalla gabbia, è libero di esprimersi come meglio crede! ;)
Hanno suonato sui palchi più famosi del milanese (Tnt, Rock and Roll, Hollywood, Barrios, Trottoir, Legend Club, Tunnel) e si sono aggiudicati la vittoria di alcuni contest.
Ora sono pronti, con la formazione attuale (Laura alla voce, Andrea al basso, Alberto alla chitarra ed Alberto alla batteria) ad incidere il loro primo disco e ad esportare la loro musica anche fuori dai confini nazionali! Motto della band? LET THE CAGES BE OPEN
