Formed of Diane Thibault at vocals, Olivier Roy on the drums, André Labrecque on bass and Nicholas Roy on guitar, they first established in 2011 as a cover band in the hard rock, alternative metal and post grunge musical styles, they interpret songs of various bands from Alice in chains to Creed with the likes of Royal Blood, Alter bridge, Rage against the machine, Godsmack and many others. Bearing the name Ghettoblaster at first, they changed their name for DOAN in 2017 to dedicate themselves more seriously to their own compositions.
All this change started back in 2014 when guitarist Nicholas presented a song to the other band member's. It became the song titled "Madness or reason". From there they began to write songs together until they decided it was time to make an album.
With their first album "Stupidity Kills", they are ready to rock the stage and look forward to making you listen to their music
DOAN est un groupe métal alternatif progressif de Montréal, Québec, Canada.
Formé de Diane Thibault à la voix, Olivier Roy à la batterie, André Labrecque à la basse et Nicholas Roy à la guitare. Fondé en 2011 comme groupe de reprises dans un style musical hard rock, métal alternatif, post grunge, ils interprètent les chansons d’une vingtaine de groupes, d’Alice in chains à Creed en passant par Royal Blood, Alter bridge, Rage against the machine, Godsmack et bien d’autres. Portant le nom Ghettoblaster au départ, ils changent le nom du groupe pour DOAN en 2017 afin de se consacrer plus sérieusement à leurs propres compositions.
Tout ce changement a débuté en 2014 alors que le guitariste Nicholas a présenté une chanson aux autres membres du groupe. Cette chanson est devenue le titre "Madness or Reason". Ensuite, ils ont commencé à composer des chansons ensemble jusqu’au moment où ils ont décidé que le temps était venu de faire un album.
Avec leur premier album "Stupidity Kills", ils sont prêts à prendre d’assaut la scène et ils sont impatients de vous faire entendre leur musique.
