    À LA UNE
Quite possibly the heaviest melodic three piece band in the Toronto Indie scene, Motiema weaves rhythm and melody together in enticing ways. Jimmy's powerful voice cuts through the complex mesh of sound with ease, while Tristan's harmonies offer both support and tension. Neil's rhythms produce a pounding backdrop for the intertwining layers of guitar and bass – the result is the music that defines Motiema.

Since they formed in the summer of 2003, Motiema’s mandate has been to remain active and productive. In just over a year and a half they have played dozens of live shows and recorded over an album's worth of material, including 'I Don’t Really Want You To Know', winner of seven garageband.com awards including Track of the Week and Most Rocking Track. During this time they have not only fine-tuned their visually and sonically surprising live performance but have been persistently creating new material.

With decades of musical background to draw upon, the trio continually strives to challenge themselves in an effort to improve, both individually and collectively. Artistically and professionally, Motiema brings to the Toronto music scene a hard, exciting, cerebral, and unique experience.
