    Conceived in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada in the spring of 2002. Marr is a four piece hard rock freight train. A diverse melting pot of intense music. Marr is a genre of their own.

    Marr's sound is inspired by such bands as Faith No More, Melvins and Jesus Lizard. The music has evolved in the modern day vein of Queens of the Stone Age and Tomahawk with a twist of hard rock.

    The band's first EP titled "Demonstration" was released in the spring of 2003 to great acclaim by the local musical community. The praise and support warranted the band's first full length album titled "Lucky Your're Not Up On The Roof Today," released in August 2004. Tracks like "Smugsy And The Underhanded Professional" and "Snoppet's Recreation of Romance" propelled the album to the #1 position on the 93.3 CFMU Top Ten List in late August.
    Marr has accomplished many significant breakthroughs to this date. First of all, Marr has been featured and interviewed on 93.3 CFMU and C101.5 Radio. Some notable talent the band has shared the stage with includes:Tom Wilson, Chrome Yellow Company, Jon Epworth, Spicolis, Pailface Boogie and Mohagany Frog. Marr has been highlighted as part of many outdoor festivals:Festival Of Friends in Hamilton, Open Eye Festival in Seaforth, Burlington Sound of Music and as a featured artist at The Hamilton Music Scene. The band has also appeared on The Jackson Square Rooftop Summer Series and contibuted the song "Bush Pilot Union" to the Steel City Music VI Compilation CD.
    In late summer 2004 Marr took their show on the road in support of their CD. The band toured extensively and successfully through Eastern Canada.
