    Ideas can come across in many forms but must always stay real. That was the main concept behind the forming of the band Haegers Bend. With its roots starting in Chicago in the mid 90’s, Haegers Bend was formed by Paul Wilson and Mike Wilson with the focus of a powerful live guitar rock band but also to feel at home and expand on ideas in the studio.

    Recording was something that came easy to Paul and Mike. After buying a couple four- track recorders, they were on their way. A few months later after recording hundreds of different demos, ideas and experimenting with sounds they heard what the band would sound like. During this time they gave cassette tapes and many different CD-R’s to their friends so they could hear what Haegers Bend has been up to.

    Haegers Bend as a live band is something special and much different than in the studio. The band likes to change some of the songs into many different mind journeys for all. Every show is something different to experience for the first time.

    In 2000 the band released its first full studio CD “Atomic Dreamland” which was voted one of the best indie CD release in Chicago in 2000 by Jim DeRogatis of the Chicago Sun Times.

    In 2004 Haegers Bend released there second CD “A Letter For The Last Day In Time” . It is something the band has worked on very hard co-producing it themselves with Kris Poulin (jim o’rourke, kaspar hauser) Spending over a year in the studio to make this CD is something Haegers Bend has wanted to do for a few years and now was the time.

    Many different elements come together to make one great picture. Having many influences, the band creates different moods and emotions.
